Thinking bout the NBA Eastern Conference Finals
May 30, 2009This season’s MVP, LeBron James seems to be more dominant than he has ever been. So dominant that he scores almost half of his team’s points in a game. Adding to the Cavalier credentials, the coach of the year is Mike Brown. How did he become the coach of the year? It’s simply just letting his team become a one man team. It’s like a father-son relationship in a junior soccer league. Haha! Give the ball to my boy. That’s his only plan. Well, it worked so far. But for how long will that last? LeBron has been showing fatigue in his past few games agains the Magic. The games where he scored more than 40 points were the ones where the cavs lost. So it just means that Mike Brown needs to have a plan with LeBron out of the picture. The easiest way to defeat the cavs would be sending your dumbest player on the team, and let him break James’ knee! Haha! The cavs would easily be swept or win at least one game, that’s for sure. Haha! LeBron is one of the best players that I’ve ever seen. But unlike Jordan, LeBron doesn’t have a Scottie Pippen to lob to, a Dennis Rodman to pick up his misses, and a Steve Kerr to shoot threes when he’s double teamed. Also, unlike Kobe Bryant, LeBron doesn’t have a Derrick Fisher to make miracle 0.4 second fast shots, Pau Gasol who could block shots and score, and Trevor Ariza to steal critical passes. Lastly, unlike his rival Carmello Anthony has Chauncey to save his ass in the last minute.
The point here is that NBA Championship Teams become champs because of an existence of a TEAM. Not an MVP. Kobe (’08 MVP), Nash (two time MVP-even the most unselfish player), Nowitzki (’07 MVP), Iverson (’01 MVP) and a lot more didn’t Championships during the year when they got their MVP awards. Well, Jordan, Shaq, Duncan, Bird, and Johnson got it because they weren’t the only productive players in the team. See? Haha. Mike Brown, LeBron, stop playing that father-son roles. Play as a team, and you’ll definitely kick superman’s ass without using any kryptonyte. You might get that championship too.
